A country club in Phoenix recently expelled one of its members, Rusty Brown, for “multiple violations of club etiquette.” His crime? He told the Times that his club should allow women to venture into – and, perchance, dine in – the establishment’s men-only grill room.
That statement, apparently, ran afoul of a club policy prohibiting members from making “derogatory or otherwise injurious comments in the media.” Bitch had got to go.
Still, from the looks of the offending Times article, Brown got off easy. Any day you avoid having your pecan trees urinated on by your golfing buddies is a good day in Phoenix, it would seem.
