A quick update from the thoroughly dumb Demtastic! state rep race currently gripping dozens upon dozens of people in town.
Bob Trane’s formerly-dead website has gone all Lazarus on us and up and risen from the dead! It was only un-alive for a week or two or so, and during August, too, so no big deal. Everybody knows that nobody cares about democracy in August.
So the moral of the story is, it’s alive and well in time for Trane’s big push to the primary. And the other moral of the story is, oh, wow, look at the things you can post on your website when you have a website to post things on. Things like, a biography of yourself about how your opponent sucks ass. And a video explaining why you ran for the last office you ran for. (Nothing about this particular race, but you really can’t rush these things.)
And then there’s … ooh, look at this! It’s a sample ballot. And just look at the thing – there’s only one name under the state rep header. Huh. That’s a curious development, don’t you think, fellow inquisitive voter?
Well, anyway, thanks for being almost alive, Bob Trane’s website. We wouldn’t know who is and isn’t on September’s ballot without you!
