Today’s Inside Track features an exit interview with former Channel 7 anchor Randy Price, in which Price blasts his former employers for drooling all over the local news.
You didn’t misread that. The Track – a column that trades largely in reprinting press releases from a certain scary PR firm, libeling respected newsmen, and gossiping about where state legislators shop for vegetables – is nodding solemnly and lamenting the dumbing down of the news. I’m not sure which I’d prefer – the Gals blissfully ignoring that irony, or them knowing, and slopping this stuff onto the page anyways.
