“Few, If Any Suitors”

That’s the take, in today’s WSJ, of Fitch Ratings analyst Mark Simonton on the future of the Globe, given the, uh, dysfunctional relationship between the paper and its union. The Journal says, rather kindly, that things are complicated on Morrissey Boulevard, and getting worse.

Over at the Phoenix, Reilly puzzles over how spectacularly the Times mangled this week’s Guild vote. It’s truly shocking, given what a well-run corporation the Times Co. is normally.
