I got to cruise around Boston Harbor and gawk at the tall ships a couple weeks ago, but that was a couple hours before I jumped on a plane and fled civilization for a week. But now I’m back, so here’s a funny picture I took on that very cruise of a tall ship from Romania (go figure).
If you’re going to mount a figurine to the bow of your 270-foot boat, chances are, it’s an eagle or a sexy mermaid or something else fierce and/or patriotic. Not Romania! These dudes have a carving of some mustachioed Romanian guy attached to their ship. He’s wearing a funny hat, no less. Not sure what warriorly message it’s supposed to convey to the enemy. Other than, meh!
